Life is totally hectic these days. Between work, family, and trying to squeeze in some me time/self-care/relaxation, it can be tough to keep up. But there's one thing that always gets me through: coffee. I seriously love the smell of a good cup of joe, and it gives me the boost I need to tackle the day.
Of course, I also know that sleep is essential. But sometimes, when you're hustling through a busy schedule, it can be hard to get enough shut-eye. So, on those days when I'm feeling particularly stressed, I might just indulge in a little extra coffee (and maybe even skip a nap/power nap/quick snooze).
No judgement here – we all have our habits/guilty pleasures. And for me, it's a warm mug of coffee and the promise of a productive day/getting things done/accomplishing my goals.
Fueled by Coffee and Bedlam

My Other Therapist is a French Press
When life gets stressful, and the usual anxiety relief methods aren't doing the trick, I turn to my unconventional source of support: a trusty brewing device. This therapeutic process of crushing beans, pouring hot water, and patiently allowing for the perfect concoction becomes my escape. Each glug carries with it a sense of calm, grounding me in the here and now.
- Sometimes, I even find myself analysis as I study the process of the brewing process.
- In other instances, it's simply a enjoyable break from the constant chaos.
So, while I may occasionally seek out a mental health professional, my coffee maker remains a consistent companion through life's ups and downs.
